Guided by Divine and Ancestral Wisdom, Empowering Every Step in the Birthing Journey From Preconception to Postpartum.

I am a passionate maternal health advocate with a Master of Public Health in Maternal and Child Health, dedicated to improving birth experiences for all birthing people. My journey has been deeply shaped by my extensive research into disparities in maternal health outcomes, particularly for Black birthing people. My research expertise focuses on the intersections of race, health equity, and culturally competent care. I have published reports and blogs on these critical topics, some of which have been cited in academic and professional discussions. You can explore more about my cited work on my Google Scholar profile.

My personal experiences with infertility, pregnancy complications, and an emergency C-section have provided me with a profound understanding of the challenges and joys of the birthing process. Drawing on the wisdom of my African-American ancestors, including community granny midwives, I embrace a philosophy that honors birth as a natural and sacred process, not merely a medical event to be managed.

As your doula, I will provide unwavering support throughout your entire journey to parenthood—from pregnancy to postpartum. I am committed to offering compassionate, evidence-based care that respects your unique needs and preferences. Together, we will navigate the complexities of the birthing process, fostering empowerment, strength, and connection every step of the way.
