Meet your doula: Ebonie Megibow, MPH

I believe research must lead to tangible support. Over the past five years, I have contributed to studies on structural racism in perinatal outcomes and health equity that have been cited in peer-reviewed journals. Diving into that data showed me where the system fails Black birthing people, so I trained and certified as a doula to provide meaningful support.

As a mother of a vibrant two-year-old son born via IVF after a long struggle with infertility, I understand how isolating the path to parenthood can feel. My own traumatic pregnancy and the resilience I found through community support fuel the compassion and advocacy I bring to every birth. I founded Divine Ancestors Birthworks LLC to offer culturally attuned guidance, practical tools, and unwavering encouragement from pregnancy through postpartum.

When I’m not supporting families, I’m learning new crochet stitches (green is my favorite color) or spending more time outdoors with my son. I believe that nurturing joy and connection ranks as high as clinical expertise. By caring for mind, body, and spirit, I open the door to healing, empowerment, and collective liberation.
